this piece took me forever and a half! >_<

i wanted to try a new approach to painting in.. well.. painter XD. so i found a photo reference and played around. this was originally going to be like a fashion pic (since i seem to have a random and unpredictable occassional NEED to draw clothing), but i got addicted to painting fleshtone! i love fleshtone! the other thing is it was done almost 100% digitally! i sketched the reference, then overlayed it on the image and fixed what was wrong, then digitally inked it with my own further corrections to make it Taevi instead of the photo subject. the style of painting was DIRECTLY inspired by the works of the awe-inspiringly talented :iconmalicekisho: i still did it my own way, but i love her quality of realism. :heart:
